My son’s wife
delivered their first child May 29, 2012 (a significant date in our
history). She is a premature baby, only eight months and five days old in
her mother’s womb when she came out to this world and, only weights four pounds
at birth. She is the first second generation baby in the family (my
children’s first niece and my first granddaughter) and we are all excited of
her arrival but somehow worried about her health. We were relieved
though when after all the necessary physical examinations for a new born had
been conducted she turned out to be very healthy despite the insufficiency in
number of days and usual weight for a newborn. Fact is, she needed no
incubation anymore and only needs some lighting to warm her in the first couple
of days right after her birth. Now two months after birth she looks and
weighs just like a normal baby of her age.
She is “a gift of life,” a priceless blessing from the
Lord.
